On Sunday, November 14, an explosion occurred outside Liverpool Women’s Hospital. In the blast, one individual was killed and a taxi was wrecked, with the taxi driver requiring hospital care.

Following the horrific incident, the terror danger level in the UK has been increased to “severe.” Priti Patel, the Home Secretary, has decided to boost the terror warning level to the point where an imminent attack is now considered “very likely.” The explosion outside a Liverpool hospital on Remembrance Sunday was the second in a month, forcing the alert level to be raised from significant to severe.

Under the Terrorism Act, four guys, ages 29, 26, 21, and 20, have been arrested.

There is no specific threat to the area,” Serena Kennedy, Chief Constable of Merseyside Police, stated. “However, I have requested that patrols be reinforced across Merseyside.

The terror warning level was updaded to severe, according to the Home Secretary, since the Liverpool blast was the second in a month, following the murder of MP David Amess in Essex.

The Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) publishes its Global Peace Index (GPI) study every year. This report assesses how safe or dangerous a country is on the basis of 23 criteria like political terror, internal conflicts, and murder rates.

The GPI study assesses 163 countries that account for nearly all of the world’s population. The factors studied in the report are divided into three categories:

  • Security and Safety
  • Continual Conflict
  • Militarization

Based on these parameters, a score is produced for each of the 163 countries included in the report. The higher the score, the lower the country’s safety rating is— or the more dangerous the country is.

Each country is assigned one of five categories of peace: very high, high, medium, low, or very low. In this post, we’ll look at countries with a “very low” level of peace.

In comparison to the 2020 Global Peace Index, the 2021 report found 87 nations with improved security and 73 countries with worsening security. Between 2020 and 2021, the GPI average deteriorated by 0.07 per cent.

GPI has ranked the countries in the world out of the score of 10 and has published a list of the most dangerous countries in the world.
