1. Langkawi Sky Bridge
Itis a 125-meter long curved pedestrian bridge which offers an exhilarating view of the Telaja Tujuh waterfalls, verdant Gunung Mat Cincang, and many more islets surrounding to the Langkawi. It is positioned 2300 feet above sea level. It is only accessible through the Langkawi Cable Car ride. The bridge can accommodate up to 250 people at a time and it is fitted with double steel railings, an enclosed wire mesh, and two triangular platforms where you can relax and enjoy the cool breeze. 2. Dataran Lang Eagle Square Langkawi
This is one of the most iconic places in Langkawi. There is a 12-meter tall statue of an eagle positioned to take flight is shown a prime of an elevated platform. It is located in Kuah. This place is exactly 5 minutes distance from Kuah Jetty, Taman Legenda Dalam Langkawi. This place also houses beautiful miniature terraces, pretty fountains, scenic bridges, and few restaurants. 3. Langkawi Cable Car
Langkawi cable car takes the visitors on an amazing ride for 15-minutes to the top of mount Mat Cincang that offers breath-taking views of Langkawi’s rainforests, waterfalls, islets, etc. It claims to be the steepest cable car ride in the entire world. And the journey of this ride starts at the Oriental Village where you will able to pass several stops fitted with open-air views along the way. When the visitors will reach the 708-meter tall peak, then they can enjoy the cool breeze, grab a quick bite, and take a lot of photos of the panoramic views from the observation deck.
4. Gunung Raya
This place is considered as the highest peak in Langkawi with an altitude of 881 meters. It is come to know from the local people that this mountain is a cursed form of a giant called Mat Raya. It is filled with a dense rainforest which is the home of innumerous wildlife such as flying foxes, squirrels, white-bellied sea eagles, great hornbills, leaf monkeys, macaque monkeys, mountain hawk eagles, etc. This place is famous for hiking. From the top of this mountain, you can enjoy a panoramic view of this island. This mountain spreads over an area of 5000 hectares and also houses an extensive variety of flora and fauna. Tourists can also get a chance to spot rare and endangered species of birds and animals resting in the interiors. This mountain is also home to the Gunung Raya Golf course at the base.
5. Langwaki Wildlife Park And Bird Paradise
This park is for nature lovers, bird lovers, as well as animal lovers. There are around 2500 exotic colorful birds comes from 150 species like owls, toucans, canaries, hornbills, ducks, parakeets, eagles, flamingos, many more. This park is filled with a 15-meter tall waterfall and many endangered species. This wildlife park and bird paradise also host animal feeding sessions for crocodiles, hornbills, pelicans, and raccoons. For this, there is a fixed timing. At this feeding session, you can even get close to some of these animals, or birds. Or for a closer look or for greater interaction, tourists may also visit the large enclosed bird-rooms. 6. Pulau Payar Marine Park
Pulau Payar Marine Park is situated around 30 km ahead of Langkawi Island towards the south famous for snorkeling and driving. One of the best features of Pulau Payar Marine Park is its Coral Garden which is a secluded section filled with colorful corals. To explore this place, someone has to take permission from the authority. Before taking permission, you cannot venture into the waters. The main reason to visit this place is to take in some protected areas of natural beauty in this part of Malaysia. This park is divided into four islands such as; Pulau Payar, Pulau Kaca, Pulau Lembu, and Pulau Senangtang. Among all these, Pulau Payar is the largest one. These islands remain inhabited and preserved by the fisheries department of Kedah.
7. Langkawi Arts in Paradise 3D Museum
The Art in Paradise 3D Museum is filled with more than 200 impressive artworks. These artworks appear almost alive when photographed. It is considered as the largest 3D art museum in Malaysia and also the second-largest in the entire world. This museum comprises of nine interactive zones within the three-storey building, including aquatic, classic, safari, landscapes, Malaysian zones, optical illusion, fantasy, castles, Egyptian, etc. These zones host amazing artworks by artists from all over the world, especially 23 leading Korean artists. This place is best for art lovers and located just next to the Langkawi Cable Car in Oriental village.
8. Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls
This is a natural attraction of Langkawi. Visitors can enjoy this place by taking a dip in the cool water or by climbing to the top of the waterfalls. The name telega tujuh waterfall situated on Langkawi’s western headlands refers to a series of seven waterfalls that are connected natural pool in Gunung mat cincang. Adventurers will take 45-minutes to climb the top of the waterfalls, through huge slippery rocks and seven pools where hornbills, macaques, and squirrels can be spotted along the journey. On the way to your journey, you can also enjoy some pretty scenery as well as some cheeky monkeys.
9. Datai Bay
Datai Bay is the home to the top-notch resorts in Langkawi Island. This place is nearer to Ibrahim Hussein Foundation Museum and the famous Langkawi Crocodile Farm that features some gigantic crocs. This is a beach situated at the northwestern end of Langkawi. Datai Bay is curvy; half-moon shaped the white sand beach stretching at an end to end length of 1.5 km. For local people, this beach is also known as Pantai Teuk Datai. Tourists can also visit the high-end hotels, resorts present near the beach. This beach gives a view of the surrounding mountain which carries dense forests making the landscape a perfect one.
