The Uttar Pradesh government has recently launched helicopter tours to boost tourism. This service will allow travellers to witness breathtaking views of the iconic Ayodhya and Ram Mandir. Thus, travellers can experience the beauty of spiritual and cultural sites from the skies. The helicopter service will start by the end of this month.
One of the well-known Indian travel companies, Rajas Aero Sports and Adventure, will operate the tours. The helicopter service promises to make aerial tours more accessible for tourists and locals alike. The fares have already been announced, so travellers who want to experience an aerial journey on the skies of UP can book tickets.
Helicopter services will commence from Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Mathura, and Agra. This ride will accommodate up to five devotees with a weight limit of 400 kg. Devotees are allowed to carry 5kg of luggage.
Passengers who book early tickets for helicopter tours will receive special discount offers for a limited time. For the first 60 hours after launch, early bird passengers can enjoy a 40% discount on fares. After this promotional period, standard rates will be applied for helicopter tours.
Currently, fares are:
Ram Mandir, Hanuman Garhi (one of the religious places in Ayodhya) and Saryu Ghat Aerial Darshan for 15 minutes will cost Rs 3,539 per person. The helicopter will take off from the Saryu River.
The Gorakhpur to Ayodhya tour, covering 126 km in 40 minutes, will charge Rs 11,327 per person.
The service, which commences from Namo Ghat in Varanasi, will cover 160 km in 55 minutes and cost Rs 14,159 per person.
In Lucknow, services are available in Ramabai, covering 132 km in 45 minutes for 14,159 per person.
The government also mentioned that helicopter service fares are for one-way travel. Devotees must pay the same amount to return from Ayudhya.
