How To Reach Delhi To Auli via road?

The distance between Delhi to Auli is approx 504 km; thus, to cover Delhi to Auli distance via road, you can either go with your vehicle or take a bus. For the best way to reach Auli, take a bus from Delhi to Rishikesh, which will take approx 12 hours since Auli is well connected by bus from Dehradun, Haridwar, and Rishikesh.

Delhi – Haridwar – Rishikesh – Joshimath – Auli

First take a bus to Rishikesh from Delhi, which will get you halfway from Delhi to Auli distance. Now the distance from Rishikesh to Auli is approx 260 km. When you have reached Rishikesh, reaching Auli will take about 9-10 hours. From Rishikesh, you will take a bus to Devprayag, a 74 km distance in approx 2 hrs. Then take the bus and go to Srinagar, which will take around 1 hr for 36 km. Now reach Rudraprayag and Joshimath, a distance of 33 km and 115 km respectively. After reaching Joshimath, you will be a mere 9 km away from Auli (from the road), which will take an approx of half an hour. 

If you want to avoid the frequent bus changing, a better option would be booking a private cab or taking a shared taxi to Joshimath and then getting on a cable car to reach Auli. You will not find any difficulty in covering Delhi to Auli distance since the road is well connected and road transports are easily available.

How To Reach Delhi To Auli via air?

If you are planning to reach Auli via air,  Jolly Grant, Dehradun, is the nearest airport from Auli. So, to cover Delhi to Auli distance, first, get your tickets ready and reach Jolly Grant which is approx 288 km. From there, either get the pre-booked cab to Joshimath or get a private cab or shared taxi to Joshimath. Now get on a cable car (air distance) and reach Auli, which is a 2 km distance. 

Since the drive from Jolly Grant can be very exhausting due to bumpy roads and long travel times, it is better to get all the bookings done in advance.

How To Reach Delhi To Auli via train?

If you are planning to cover Delhi to Auli distance via rail, first reach Rishikesh, the nearest railway station from Auli. Now follow the steps like the roadway; take a shared taxi or book a private cab to Joshimath. Then hop on a cable car from Joshimath and cover the few km to reach Auli. 

But, there is one thing we would like to advise, and that is to plan beforehand. Since season plays a very crucial role in your journey, make sure that the routes are open for travelers. Also, you might need to stay a night after reaching Dehradun or Rishikesh, so book your tickets early for an easy and memorable experience.
