According to reports, Kashmir received a total of 2,11,80,011 tourists in 2023, which is more than in the last few years. However, in 2025, there was a severe decline in tourism, with 90% cancellations due to the Pahalgam incident. As Pahalgam is the centre of attraction of Kashmir, it is a lively hub of tourism and flourishing businesses and this tragic terror attack on 22 April, which led to 26 deaths.
