3. Kedarnath Temple, Uttrakhand

Dedicated to “Lord Shiva”, Kedarnath temple is located in the hills of Himalayas amid majestic glacier. During the winter, the entire area gets covered with snow, that is why the temple is closed for half of the year. The temple is claimed to be built by Pandavas from Mahabharat and now one the temple of ‘Char Dham Yatra’. Today, the temple is known as the sacred as well as the oldest temples in the country. 

How To Reach: Pilgrimage has to walk 14 KMs over the hilly surface from the Gaurikund which can be reached by bus from Rishikesh.  

4. Jagannath Temple, Puri

Shir Jagannath Temple is another famous temple in India located in Odisha, Puri. Built-in the 12th century, the temple is one of the holiest places in India which are visited by numerable devotees throughout the year. The temple is devoted to “Lord Krishna” and you can have a glimpse with the other two idols of his brother and sister.
