JetBlue Airways is speculated to make an early deal with spirit airlines. Recent rejection between spirit and frontier airlines has led to the haste decision. Though JetBlue airways have been trying to make this merger possible for months, different disagreements came into the path. After a constant struggle, eventually, JetBlue was able to acquire spirit airlines. Which resulted in making the company the fifth largest airways in the country.
CEO of JetBlue Airways, Robin Hayes, released a statement saying – “We are highly excited to deliver this tantalising combination that turbocharges our long-term growth, enabling JetBlue to bring our exceptional blend of low fares and exceptional service to more customers, on more routes,”. He further added, “It would be a splendid opportunity to work with Spirit’s team members and make it the largest customer-centric carrier in the United States.”
Executives said that buying spirit would result in the fast track growth of the companies, and they could easily compete with large carriers outside the American market. The bidding went higher than expected, yet JetBlue managed to complete the deal with a suitable price of 3.8 billion.
Both companies announced that they expect to end the regulatory process and close all the deals by the first half of the year 2024. The deal is accepted by the shareholders, and the prices are also expected to take a surge in the coming years.
