Thailand will launch a new visa program, Destination Thailand Visa, so remote workers and migrants can stay long. The Royal Thai Consulate General NY shared in a social media post that this visa will allow travellers to stay in the country for up to 6 months (180 days). The Tourism Authority of Thailand also confirmed this news to the New York-based magazine company Travel + Leisure on Thursday, 20 June 2024.
According to some sources, this visa went into effect on 1 June 2024. However, the Royal Thai Consulate General NY highlighted in its social media post that the visa was under legal procedure. The Tourism Authority of Thailand also shared with Travel + Leisure that a launch date still needs to be fixed.
Initially, the application process for the new visa was unclear, but the Thai government has now provided a reliable solution. The official e-visa website of Thailand is now the source for all the details of the new visa program. Travellers can find comprehensive information about the application procedure on this site, ensuring a smooth and reliable process.
The Thailand tourists will have a bunch of things for entertainment and a joyful trip. Visitors can find gold-gilded temples, amazing hotels in Bangkok, stunning beaches in Koh Phi Phi, the ruins of Ayutthaya, etc.
Thailand is not the only nation offering a digital nomad visa! Spain introduced a similar option in 2023, allowing foreigners to stay there if they work remotely for a company based in Spain. The Great White North, Canada, also allows travellers who work for foreign employers to stay in the country for up to six months at once.
