The UP Government instructed them to build ‘Ramayana Gates’ in Ram Nagri, Ayodhya, to create vibes of ‘Diwali Celebration’ resembling ‘Treta Yuga’. According to the officials, 15 gates are to be constructed in Ayodhya named after family members of Lord Rama, Nishadraj and Ahilya. 10 additional welcome gates are also being designed for ‘Deepotsava’ to be held on the eve of Diwali on October 23. This would take the visitors down history lanes on the occasion of Deepotsava.

“The construction of the 15 gates, which will recreate the ambience of the Ramayana period, along with the 10 entry gates, has almost been completed. The Tourism department has been entrusted with the responsibility of decking up the gates with diyas. A special team from the Tourism department has also prepared a sunboard on which lighting will be arranged,” an official release said.

According to the reports, these 15 gates would be named Nishadraj Dwar, Ahilya Dwar, Ram Dwar, Dasaratha Dwar, Laxman Dwar, Sita Dwar, Ram Setu Dwar, Ashbari Dwar, Hanuman Dwar, Bharat Dwar, Luv Kush Dwar, Sugriva Dwar, Jatayu Dwar and Tulsi Dwar

Tourism officer RP Yadav said that the Yogi Government is working to give Ayodhya a separate identity. These gates will also raise awareness among the younger generation about Ramanaya and Indian history.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also inaugurate 66 projects on Urban Development, Transport, Housing & Urban Planning Works, Tourism and Dairy Development during the Deepotsava event. This would be the sixth Deep Mohotsava In Ayodhya.

Preparations are going on to decorate every intersection in Ayodhya with ‘Rangoli’ & ‘Diyas’ and to introduce India’s rich & colourful Sanatan culture and traditions to the world.
